Riverton Regional Airport hereby announces its fiscal years 2016 through 2017 goal of 0.05% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) airport construction Contracts. The proposed goal and rationale is available for inspection by emailing Paul Griffin at pgriffin@rivertonwy.gov.

Jim’s Aircraft Service is a locally owned family business, owned and operated by Jim and Wanda Steinhoff. The services we provide include line service, aircraft maintenance (i.e. parts, piston & turbine engine overhaul, and other services and repairs), and aircraft rentals. Our quaint office will make you feel right at home. On-site there are hangars, tie downs, conference rooms, flight planning, and a pilot’s lounge.

FAQ's

Riverton Regional Airport offers FREE convenient parking for our customer’s right in front of the passenger terminal. Short Term Parking is located in the first two rows and Long Term Parking is located in the back rows. There is also overflow parking on the East side of the parking lot.

No. Please do not park in front of the terminal. Because of heightened security measures, vehicles left unattended at the terminal curb may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. 

We suggest that you show up at least 60 minutes before your scheduled flight.

In most cases, yes. This requires a gate pass issued by the airline and a valid, government issued, photo id. When you check in at the ticket counter, ask an airline representative to issue a gate pass. For more information, please contact the airline prior to arriving at the airport.

Please check with the airline that issued the ticket for the person who is traveling prior to your travel date and when you arrive at the terminal.

As a general rule two. Please limit your carry-on items to one carry-on bag plus one personal item, such as a laptop computer, purse, briefcase or camera case. Check with your airline for size restrictions and other rules.

YES, Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout the terminal. 

Call your airline, visit their ticket counter or contact an airline customer service agent for further information. Lost baggage is the sole responsibility of the airline you are flying on.

Most personal items can be carried through gate screening. There are prohibited items such as fire arms, cigarette lighters, knives and other dangerous objects that will be confiscated or require law enforcement. Liquids and gels that are more than 3 ounces also are prohibited. For a list of prohibited items, please click, here.

Riverton Regional Airport does not offer any ATM Services at this time,

Flight Status information is available by logging into Flight Aware or Flight View (Free apps) and entering your flight information or you can contact the airline for information about a specific flight by calling the local ticket counter or the respective reservation number. 

Passengers age 18 and older must present photo identification, such as a passport, driver’s license or a military ID, issued by a local, state or federal government agency, or two forms of non-photo identification such as a Social Security card, one of which must have been issued by a state or federal agency. For more information, call the TSA Contact Center toll-free at (866) 289-9673 during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. You may also e-mail TSA at ContactCenter@dhs.gov.

If an item was lost on a flight, please contact the airline directly. For items lost in other parts of the airport terminal, call Airport Administration at (307) 8567063. If you are not sure where an item was lost, please contact both the Airline and the airport. 

Smoking is prohibited inside of the airport terminal. Smoking is only available outside the airport entrance in a designated smoking section.

You should not go through our metal detector without your doctor’s approval. You may request a pat down from the TSA agent instead of going through the metal detector.

I began flying aircraft at the young age of thirteen and have always been very active in all aspects of aviation. I continue to be involved with the EAA Young Eagles Program which promotes interest in aviation in children and young adults. Our fantastic airport is vital to our community, and I have a great desire to see the aviation community grow as well as the expansion of aviation services currently provided to our City and Country residents.

Originally from Riverton, Utah, Kyle Butterfield is proud to call Riverton, Wyoming, home.  He joined the City of Riverton in 2014 and brings over 11 years of local government experience to the community.  Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah.  Prior to joining the City of Riverton, he worked for West Valley City and the City of Cottonwood Heights.  Kyle serves on the Fremont Air Service Team (F.A.S.T) and currently volunteers as Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America organization.

Paul Griffin, Born and raised in Fremont Co., brings over 37+ years of Airport and Aviation Management experience to Riverton Regional Airport. He is an Airport Certified Employee by the American Association of Airport Executives. Paul is a retired Army helicopter pilot/mechanic. After his Army career, Paul returned home and joined Riverton Regional Airport in October 1995.
